Proposed temporary closure of Woodcutts Lane, Hinton Martell (Jan25)

Dorset Council have received an application from Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to close Woodcutts Lane, Hinton Martell near its junction with Emley Lane as indicated by signage on site. The closure has been requested to allow Scottish and Southern Power

Distribution to carry out electric supply connection works. These works are programmed to commence from 5th February 2025 until 7th February 2025. Residents access will be maintained.

Scottish and Southern Power Distribution will publicise the road closure in a number of ways:

• they will place information boards on the road in this area to inform the travelling public of the works;
• they will carry out a letter drop to local residents directly affected by the works; and
• they will sign a vehicular diversion route using the local road network. The following map in the official notice below shows the extent of the closure and the diversion route (the notice with the map can also be downloaded as a PDF here).
