Dorset Council have received an application from South West Water to close Unnamed Road, Gussage All Saints between Custard Hill and Harley Lane, a distance of approximately 700 metres. The closure has been requested to allow South West Water to carry out water connection works. These works are programmed to commence from 8th January 2025 until 10th January 2025. Works will be carried out collaboratively with Openreach on 8th January 2024 and 9th January 2024.
South West Water will publicise the road closure in a number of ways:
- they will place information boards on the road in this area to inform the travelling public of the works;
- they will carry out a letter drop to local residents directly affected by the works; and
- they will sign a vehicular diversion route using the local road network. The map shown below (as seen in the main notice embedded below as a PDF and downloadable here (as a PDF)) shows the extent of the closure and the diversion route.
