Whilst not within our Parish Council, the A354 is a main route into Salisbury, so it’s worth noting this notice from Wiltshire Council:
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Temporary Closure of: A354 (Part), Coombe Bissett, Britford and Salisbury (TTRO 7468)
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:
A354 (Part), Coombe Bissett, Britford and Salisbury; from its junction with Stratford Tony Road, Coombe Bissett to its junction with Andrews Way, Salisbury.
To enable: Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing, ironwork adjustment, road markings and associated maintenance.
Alternative route: via A354 (unaffected length) – A350 – A30 – A36 – A3094 – A338 – A354 (unaffected length) and vice versa.
The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
This Order will come into operation on 20 September 2021 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19.00 and 06.00 until 23 September 2021. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
