Proposed temporary closure of various roads in Witchampton (Jan25)

Dorset Council have received an application from Openreach to close Various Roads, Witchampton as listed:

• Dark Lane as indicated by signs on site;
• Chapel Row as indicated by signs on site;
• Lower Street as indicated by signs on site;
• Unnamed Lanes as indicated by signs on site.

The closure has been requested to allow Greenlight Highways Ltd to facilitate drainage survey works. These works are programmed to take place on 24th January 2025. Residents access will be maintained.

Openreach will publicise the road closure in a number of ways:

• they will place information boards on the road in this area to inform the travelling public of the works;
• they will carry out a letter drop to local residents directly affected by the works; and
• they will sign a vehicular diversion route using the local road network – see the map showing the extent of the closure and the diversion route in the official notice below (embedded PDF) or by downloading the notice here (as a PDF)
