Dorset Council have received an application from Upton Specialised Tree Services Ltd. to close Various Roads, Crichel & Witchampton as listed:
- Unnamed Road, Moor Crichel between Mill Hill Lodge and a point approximately 450 metres west;
- Longmans Road, Moor Crichel between Crichel Lane and a point approximately 550 metres north;
- Crichel Lane, Moor Crichel between Longmans Road and Lawrence Lane;
- Lawrence Lane, Witchampton between Crichel Lane and 1 Lawrence Lane;
- Unnamed Road, Witchampton between The Old Post Office and Diana Cottage.
The closures have been requested to allow Upton Specialised Tree Services Ltd. to carry out tree works in the highway. These works are programmed to commence between 08:30 – 15:30 from 28th April 2025 until 7th May 2025. Only one closure will be in place at any one time. Residents access will be maintained.
Upton Specialised Tree Services Ltd. will publicise the road closures in a number of ways:
- they will place information boards on the road in this area to inform the travelling public of the works;
- they will carry out a letter drop to local residents directly affected by the works; and
- they will sign a vehicular diversion route using the local road network. The map in the official notice shows the extent of the closures and the diversion routes. (see embedded PDF below or download the official notice here)
