Dorset Council has issued two Notices under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. Both notices state that all vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Unnamed Road, Gussage All Saints between Custard Hill and Harley Lane, a distance of approximately 700 metres. The Notices are needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise likelihood of danger to highway users.
- The first will come into operation between 08:00 – 17:00 on 8th January 2025 and remain in force for five days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 9th January 2025. This will enable Openreach safe access to carry out pole replacement works in the highway. - The second will come into operation between 8th January 2025 and remain in force for five days, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 10th January 2025. This will enable South West Water safe access to carry out water connection works in the highway. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections. A map showing the road closure and diversion can be seen in each of the notices which are shown below as an embedded PDF and can be downloaded here (as a PDF).
