Dorset Council have published a notice setting out that all vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along D40602 Chalbury, Horton from the junction with the B3078 to a point 120 metres south east of The Old School, Chalbury, so that patching work can be carried out.
This temporary closure is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations and the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
The temporary closure will come into effect on 1st September 2021 between 09:00 and 15:30 and remain in force for five days (although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by the 3rd September 2021). A locally signed diversion route will be put into place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section.
